Searched strengthening Saudi-US trade relations Monday, March 21, 2015
during reception of US Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General of
the US Commerce Services Iron Kumar in the Chamber headquarters.
During the meeting which was attended by US Consul US Consulate General
in Dhahran Michael Hankey, Ataishan confirmed the depth of relations
between the two countries, pointing a number of projects between Saudi
businessmen and their counterparts in the United States, which contributed in supporting
the business sector with many of the distinctive investments, stressing
the importance of cooperation between the United States of America and the
Kingdom towards commercial business that serve the two sides.
Ataishan added that American companies have a strong and substantial
presence in the Saudi market as ,also the US products have a distinctive
reputation, emphasizing the strength of the Saudi economy, which is
experiencing high leaps thanks to the wise policy and motivations the
Kingdom offers of local and foreign investors. For his part, the US
Assistant Secretary of Commerce Iron Kumar said that the United States is
considered the main trading partner of the Kingdom, and the mutual trade
exchanges between the two countries, are witnessing a steady improvement in
recent years.
Kumar said that the United States is famous for its many good reputation
companies, and has a broad base of small and medium-sized enterprises, and
businessmen from both sides can take advantage of the many opportunities available
through the exchange of trade delegations and holding catalogs exhibitions that
contribute to the identification of those opportunities in the two countries.
